Vienna Association of Education Volunteers (VAEV)
  • Vienna Association of Education Volunteers (VAEV) is a non-governmental organization, based in Vienna, Austria, formed by a community of passionate advocates committed to developing sustainable solutions to improve education and learning processes by conducting research, participating in projects, and promoting innovation. Through continuous interaction of cross-border collaboration, VAEV develops and delivers programmes in the form of community-based activities to empower people, advocate for policy change, and advance and strengthen access to quality education and learning opportunities for the most vulnerable groups. Our main aims are to:
    • Promote, through volunteering and coaching, personal development, health & well-being, and employment prospects of disengaged and vulnerable young people.
    • Provide or assist in the provision of services for young people in their personal development, to enhance their cognitive and practical skills so that they may increase their level of activity and, or become active members of their local community.
    • Focus the attention of the community at large on social issues with the aim of creating a sense of individual and community responsibility, and promote participation in the remedying of these challenges.
    • Contribute to youth social integration issues.
    • Promote young people’s personal development and self-improvement.
    • Contribute to active involvement in local and international initiatives.
    • Promote intercultural dialogue, international cooperation and a culture of peace.
